They are expected to think inside, outside, and all around the box. As an Art Director, your work doesn’t end at creating a beautiful website, ad, or brand identity. That would just be the beginning. We want you to be storytellers and artists. We want you to create meaningful digital experiences. We want self-starters who aren’t afraid to ask questions. While client-facing presentation skills are a bonus, you must also be able to present your work and vision articulately. Most of all, your work must hold the power to move and inspire millions of people around the world
What you’ll be doing
Work closely with creative peers, including illustrators/designers/copywriters, on all projects
Create original, persuasive, conceptual, and visually compelling work
Deliver a range of concepts and designs for a broad range of projects to internal teams
Ensure creative is delivered according to the brief and within the required timings
Question briefs where appropriate – providing extra value and pushing for the most effective solutions
Be aware of the impact of digital usability and accessibility standards
Keep up with industry trends and developments
Continue training, research and personal development
Attend all creative project briefing meetings or project kick offs
What you’re like
Excellent in creative collaboration, communication, and problem-solving
Ability to communicate effectively in presentations and in writing
Superior understanding of advertising, marketing and visual design principles
Strong knowledge of responsive/accessible interactive design, brand identity design, UI design, conceptual campaigns and social content
Gracefully handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Sketching out storyboards and mocks for animation, video and illustration direction
Ability to effectively articulate sound recommendations, both internally and with our clients
What you’ll bring
Good understanding of creative composition, effective visual hierarchy, colour theory, graphic fundamentals and typography
Good understanding of production requirements for both online and offline deliverables
Experience collaborating with illustrators and designers
Proficiency with primary software packages — Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc
Working knowledge of Google products
